Background and Description : Nyla's past is clouded and unrecorded, due to an incident with her caretakers before she could even speak. As a young child, her guardians were killed off by a team of seven people. It is unknown if her protectors were her actual parents. Shortly after this incident, she was taken under the wing of the sole survivor of the battle between her caretakers and the seven humans. Nyla recalls her human protector being soft and kind, until she started to become large enough to intimidate him. He never revealed his name and he always referred to Nyla as "Girl." Eventually, he put a pendant on Nyla and released her into the wild. Shortly after this event, Nyla lost control of her body and ability to record detailed memories. However, she does recall bits of her past under the control of the pendant, which she admits is a very dark and unforgivable one.

Her "curse," as she once called it, was broken when she got into a battle with Vide, Alfa, Hale, and Jennifer. Nyla tried to persuade them to flee, while she was "still [her]self." The control pendant went into full swing after her warnings were questioned, only ended by the desperate and unexplainable acts of Vide after seeing her mother dying in front of her. Afterwards, Nyla was given her current name, replacing her old title of "Girl."

Apparently, Jennifer Burtamew, Nyla's friend, uncovers that she was actually being controlled for the man's own safety in such a dangerous environment, which explains her advanced combat skill and incredible endurance. By far, she is the strongest among her group of friends in regards to physical strength. In addition, Jen accidentally informs Nyla of how she was responsible for the deaths of Vide's mother Alfa and her good friend Jeff. Because Nyla was never able to experience the later events of maturity due to having her being mentally imprisoned, her emotional and personal aspects are that of a teenager; this leaves her to feel very guilty and upset about her past, even though it's evident that she had very little control over herself. Nyla can be overly emotional at times, serious when needed, and playful when her mind isn't overburdened.

Never able to live the natural life of most dridders, Nyla had not known about the long-lasting rivalry between dridders and nagas until Hale informed her about it. Despite this fact, Hale kept a biased eye on Nyla, even threatening her at times. Regardless of these aggravating warnings, Nyla went on to gracefully befriend Jen and Vide and eventually patch her differences with Hale, even after some very destructive actions on Hale's part.

Nyla has demonstrated the ability to spin webs and use her own webbing as a diversion, a combating device, and a natural bandage. She can also inject her own venoms into her enemies and prey, as well as provide an anti-venom for each type. Nyla has shown no magic or mystic abilities.
